DVM's E-Z Squeezy Compressor & Swap Meet A-B Switch

Here are two pedals--or more accurately, a pedal and a fancy switch.

The "E-Z Squeezy" is a straightforward Ross Compressor clone built to stock specs from BYOC's Compressor kit. This kit, which allows you to build the pedal to either Ross or MXR Dynacomp specs, has continued to evolve in its features. The version I have includes an "Attack" control in addition to the usual "Sustain" and "Level" controls. The latest iteration offers even more flexibility, with added "Blend" and "Tone" knobs. As far as function goes, it's a straightforward compressor pedal, meaning that it evens out volume differences and lengthens sustain substantially, while adding very little of its own color to the tone. Not as "squishy" as some compressor pedals, but many of those also seem to add distortion, which I didn't want.

The "Swap Meet" is really nothing more than an A/B switch in stompbox form. It allows you to either run two guitars into a single amp or one guitar into two different amps. It's an "either/or" switch--you can run either the A side or the B side, not both simultaneously. I made this from a schematic I found online HERE. It switches silently, and is wired so that separate indicator LED's light up to show which side is active. It can be powered either by 9V battery or an AC adapter, like most pedals. However, the power is only required for the LED's and has no part in the function of the switch, which is purely mechanical. It's housed in a small 1290NS enclosure, because the "guts" take up very little room.
